Strengthening Your Immune System

When my Father was diagnosed with early on set Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2007, I became my father's primary caregiver.  During this time my father was still able to live alone with routine care visits.  By 2011, my father could no longer live alone, so I moved him into my home until his death in 2017.  Caring for a love one that suffers from dementia can be quite difficult most of the time.  Due to the level of care that my father required caused me to lose sleep and miss meals. Most of the time I would be so tired that I would choose rest over meals.   

In 2014, my health began to suffer to the point that I had to seek medical treatment. I suffered from exhaustion, fatigue, stress, low white blood cells and a lack of vitamin D. My Physician ask, what is it that I was doing that was causing my immune to be so depleted?  I replied, I am the caregiver to my Father who suffers from Dementia. My Physician, suggested that I look into placement for my father, which was not an option.  I knew that my father would be  properly cared for being with me.  At this point, I knew that I had to do something to improve my health and strengthening my immune system.

I began researching ways to boost my immune system.  I tried several things and most did not work. So, I begin to pray and I started writing down scriptures that pinpointed healing over my body. I would speak these scriptures daily.  I also ask God to direct me to sources that would aid in healing my body. 

One day, I received a random email to subscribe to an on-line health newsletter, so I did.  Informational emails from this newsletter started pouring in.  I started gathering all the information and came to the conclusion that my gut was out of wack and my body was toxic.  I begin researching ways to clean out my gut and detox my body. 

The first thing that I did was make adjustments within my eating habits.  I started reading labels on the back of food and drink products to see the number of calories, and the level of sugar and sodium.  I slowly began to replace sugar with honey, until I reached the point that the use of sugar was no longer a factor.  My water intake went from 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon a day.  I became more active, and started a work-out regimen.  I replaced coffee with bone broth, which helps heal your gut lining and builds your immune system. I made sure I ate a healthy breakfast, lean meats and veggies for lunch and dinner. My fruit intake consisted of blueberries, cherries, and pears. I drank organic unsweetened goat milk kefir, green tea and kombucha, that also aided in the healing of my gut and strengthening of my immune system.  I detoxed my body by using the coffee enema method., which cleans out parasites and improves liver functions.  

All of these sources improved my over all health and my immune system is functioning properly.  I still follow the same regimen daily. I am grateful to God for his healing power, and also for providing me with the resources to improve my health.

A to Z Information

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole Muffins

Makes 12 Muffins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease muffin pan

Cooked Meat of Choice(Turkey, Chicken or Pork Sausage, Bacon, Ham or Meatless).

I use 4 cut up Chicken Sausage's (Trader Joe's) 

5 Eggs with or without Seasoning of Choice

Precooked Diced Green, Red and Orange Peppers

1 Cup of Shredded Monteray Jack Cheese or Cheese of Choice

Blend all ingredients, pour mixture evenly in each muffin tin.  Bake 12-15 minutes or until done.

Once muffins are cool place 2 muffins in plastic wrap and then place in sealed freezer bags. Each night place your desired amount of muffins in the refrigerator to thaw for the next morning. Remove muffins from freezer bag and heat in microwave still in plastic wrap for 45 seconds or grab and go and heat at work.

Ground Turkey Enchilada Soup

Makes 12 Cups of Soup

 Makes 12 Cups of Soup

2lbs of Ground Turkey

1/2 Cup of Chopped Cilantro


Taco Seasoning

1 White Onion Diced

2 2oz Cans of Green Chilies

2 8oz blocks of pre soften Cream Cheese

1 Cup of Green Enchilada Sauce

1-2 Cans of Navy Beans if you don't have time to make homemade Navy Beans or Great Northern Beans

2-3 Cups of Chicken Stock

Brown ground turkey in olive oil

add cumin, taco seasoning, diced onions, and cilantro.  Add other desired seasonings(season to taste).

Add soften cream cheese and green chilies. Pour in chicken stock and add green enchilada sauce.  Add great northern beans.  Simmer on med heat until cream cheese is dissolved, stirring frequently and then lower heat to Low and simmer for 15 mins.  If you desire a less thicker soup add more chicken stock.  Top your bowl of soup with shredded cheese, sour cream and tortilla strips and serve.  Also switch out tortilla strips with buttered corn bread.

How I Cleared my Hormonal Acne

When I became an adult, I thought that my teen years of suffering from acne was over, but then came hormonal acne with scarring in my late thirties and it was worse than my teen years. My Background

 Based in Tulsa,OK., Alisha Hill grew up as a Pastor's Kid(PK) along with her four siblings in the COGIC denomination. Alisha is the fourth child out of five children. Alisha's parents, the late Bishop Elijah and First Lady Marzelia Hill were the Founders and Pastors of Beautiful Gate Outreach COGIC.  Alisha worked in the music, children's and community culinary outreach ministries in her parent's church from child to adulthood.  In her professional career, She has worked for non-profit organizations with an emphasis in Geriatric Health.  She currently works for a Public School System. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Leadership and a Master of Arts in Human and Health Services Administration from The University of Oklahoma. Alisha has one adult son.

My Belief

I believe and trust fully in God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son. I hold the Bible as my supreme and final authority for doctrine and practice. I believe in salvation, sanctification, and the filling of the Holy Spirit.
